I want to go and set up a Google Ads account, connect my YouTube channel, and say, “Hey, anyone that watches any of my videos, anyone that visits my website, or anyone that joins my playlist or subscribes, show them these other YouTube videos.” I only need to spend $5 a day to retarget all of my YouTube videos.

Most people think of YouTube as something to go viral and get tons of views, but I’ve used it as a business to generate over $3 million. In today’s video, I’m going to break down the three simple steps you can take to turn YouTube into a lead generation machine for you or your brand.
Hey there, my name is Brad Smith, owner of Automation Links. I’ve been doing marketing for the last 10 years, work with over 200 brands. I found a secret trick to grow my YouTube channel to over 100,000 subscribers and get over 200 leads a month. And I’m going to break it down for you on my screen today.

Step 1, Focus on Your Organic Scheduling
All right. So, step number one is you should focus on your organic scheduling. I say we just need to start with one video per week.
And how are you going to make that video?
You want to post something that’s educational, that’s helpful.
Now, you want to think of yourself as the educator, not the entertainer, if you actually want to make money.
I’m going to break down this marketing funnel today to show you that you’re actually trying to get leads that turn into customers instead of views to have YouTube pay you.
And that’s how you can truly grow a business using YouTube.
When you start posting helpful educational content on a weekly basis, people will start tuning into your channel, learning from you, trusting you, seeing that you’re the expert, and then they’re going to want to call you when they need extra help.
Now, you may be thinking, “I’m nervous. I’m not ready to get on camera yet.”
So, you can start by making boring videos.
Some of my best performing videos, and I’ve gotten the best leads, I’ve had million-dollar deals come in from my most boring YouTube videos because they see that I’m actually there helping and educating, and I’m not trying to sell.
I might just have a few hundred views, but the goal is that they can see that I’m the expert.
So, you want to think of that one thing that you’re an expert at.
What’s that one thing that you’re learning, that you’ve done, that you’re helping clients with, that you’re the go-to guy for?
Like I want to be known as the go-to YouTube guy.
So whenever somebody needs help growing their YouTube channel, doing YouTube ads, or getting leads from YouTube, they should call me.
Who are you?
Are you the person that they call for health and fitness advice?
Are you the person that they call for marketing or advice?
You the person that they call for social media advice?
Who is that?
Who are you?
And who’s your ideal customer that they can learn from?
Then you need to create a series.
So a series of videos around that topic.
So, I say choose a 12-week period where you’re going to make 12 videos as part of a series.
So, video one should be the introduction to what you’re teaching.
Video two the week after, video three the week after.
So, speak and teach about that one topic every single week.

Step 2, Get Them to Engage
All right, step number two, get them to engage.
You notice at the beginning of this video, I said if you want to be part of my YouTube community and you want to be have support to grow your YouTube channel with all of my clients, it’s a group of friends.
I said comment the word YouTube down below.
So, what you want to do is you want to always start your video off giving a free resource or a valuable asset that they can either comment or go click on to get access to that supports what you’re teaching and educating.
So, whatever you’re teaching and educating in your video, make some sort of guide, some sort of cheat sheet, some sort of vibecoded software, something a community that they can join and have them comment to get access to it.
And what that’s going to do is build up your SEO ranking on your YouTube video.
YouTube’s going to see that people are actually engaging and leaving comments and watching your full video all the way through because you’re providing helpful advice and so they’re going to start ranking your videos a little bit higher and showing it to more people like that.
So if somebody wants that free guide or that system or that blueprint or whatever you’re giving them and they leave a comment, YouTube start will start showing more videos to people just like them.
Now at the end of the video, you want to recommend getting them to watch your next video and that’s where the playlist comes in handy.
So, you’ll see at the end of my video here that I’m going to say, “Check out this playlist to watch more videos about YouTube.”
So, that’s going to get them to watch your next video.
And the goal is to really have somebody watch three or four of your videos and then they’re going to start trusting you and that’s actually going to help them get to step number three that I’m going to talk about in a second.
So, think about what you can give away.
Talk about that topic and get them to comment and make sure you obviously come back and give them an easy.
I also like to connect more on social media with my viewers.

Step 3, Retargeting with YouTube Ads
All right, step number three, retargeting.
I always recommend spending just a little bit of money on YouTube retargeting ads.
And what happens is as soon as somebody watches one of your YouTube videos, they may leave and the algorithm may not show them another one of your videos.
Now, if they’ve watched a few and they keep watching them, the algorithm will keep working for you.
But if they only watch one and leave, pretty much lose that person, especially if they don’t subscribe.
And it doesn’t cost a lot to run YouTube ads.
But what you don’t want to do is you don’t want to boost a video.
You want to go and set up a Google Ads account.
They also have a great credit.
So where you spend 500, you get 500.
And it’s easier than ever to go to Google Ads, connect your YouTube channel, and say, “Hey, anyone that watches any of my videos, anyone that visits my website, or anyone that joins my playlist or subscribes, show them these other YouTube videos.”
Now, every time somebody logs into YouTube, they start seeing your thumbnails.
They start seeing your face.
They start seeing you as an ad.
And they’re like, “Wow, this person really knows what they’re talking about about this topic.”
So, if I want to learn something else about the topic, I’m going to go and watch your next video because it’s at the top of my feed.
For you, if you really truly want to make money from YouTube or even your business, you need to stay top of mind because your ideal customers, they don’t have time to go look for you again.
They need to see you over and over and over to trust you.
So, that’s where you need to be building those relationships, educating, and staying top of mind.

Once you set it up, you walk through, there’s a couple choices you make.
You choose your channel, and you turn them on.
And the good news is is you don’t have to spend a fortune.
You only need to spend $5 a day to retarget all of your YouTube videos.
And that’s how you’re truly going to grow your YouTube channel.
