Social Media Automation

Hey there, welcome to lesson No. 1 on how to automate your Social Media. I'm Brad Smith, the creator of this guide and also the owner of AutomationLinks.com, where we help you automate your business.

Social media can seem daunting, especially when you're already running your business, busy working with clients, or if you're new, maybe you just don't know where to start. In this guide, I'll give you the exact checklist of what to post, when to post, how to use software to post, how to automate it, and also what to do to help you with themes.

The key is daily themes. When I first started, I didn't really know what to post, so I came up with daily themes, which are very helpful. Here are the steps to implement this strategy:

  • Monday Motivation: Start the week by posting something motivating. It could be a quote, a success story, or a personal reflection to inspire your audience.
  • Testimonial Tuesday: Share a testimonial from your website or Google page. It's a great way to build trust and show potential clients the value of your services.
  • Website or Whiteboard Wednesday: Promote a blog post or a feature from your website. This could be educational content, a new offering, or an insight into your business processes.
  • Throwback Thursday: Share a throwback post, a success story, or highlight how far you or a client has come. This can include past achievements or milestones.
  • FAQ Friday: Address frequently asked questions. It's a chance to engage with your audience by answering common inquiries and providing valuable information.

Implementing these themes can simplify your social media strategy. Think about what you're going to post today based on the theme. If it's Motivation Monday, write something motivating and post it on your favorite networks.

For Testimonial Tuesday, copy and paste a testimonial from your website or Google page. This approach helps you organize your content, making social media less daunting and more manageable.

Understanding the power of themes and scheduling in social media automation is crucial. By setting daily themes, like Motivation Monday or FAQ Friday, you create a structured approach to your content. This not only helps in planning what to post but also in maintaining a consistent presence online.

The next step involves selecting the right platforms and tools for automation. While I recommend starting with two platforms if you're new, it's essential to choose those where your audience is most active.

Automation tools like the ones mentioned can significantly reduce the time and effort needed to manage your social media, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business. Remember, the goal is to post helpful, educational content that establishes your authority and educates your audience. When they're ready to engage, they'll know exactly where to find you.

  • How do I choose which social media platforms to focus on for automation?

Choosing the right platforms depends on where your audience spends their time. For those just starting or with limited resources, it's advised to start with two platforms. Consider platforms where your target audience is most active and engaged. For example, if your business is B2B, LinkedIn and YouTube might be more effective than Instagram or Snapchat. The key is to understand your audience's preferences and behaviors on social media.

  • How can I automate my social media posts without losing personal touch?

Automation doesn't mean your posts have to be impersonal. The key to maintaining a personal touch is in the content creation phase. Create posts that reflect your brand's voice and values, and use automation tools only for scheduling and publishing. Engage with your audience by responding to comments and messages personally. This balance ensures efficiency in managing your social media presence while keeping interactions genuine and engaging.
